SDN4NTN designs and demonstrates Software Defined Networking (SDN)-based solutions to protect 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. A virtualised testbed, operated as a cyber range, emulates LEO constellations integrated with 5G networks to reproduce attacks and to validate SDN-based detection and mitigation strategies.
Current status:
The project kicked off on 2 September 2025.
