Phase 2 of the 5G-HOSTS-SAT project has officially started!
The kick-off meeting, held virtually, saw the participation of Guta Maria (European Space Agency – ESA) and expertise from Nextworks S.r.l., RomARS S.r.l., MBI S.r.l., Apeiroon, the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences at the University of Pisa, the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority, Rai – Italian National Broadcasting Company, and the LINKS Foundation.
5G-HOSTS-SAT aims to validate vertical services in 5G environments enhanced with satellite technologies, with the goal of identifying business models, technical challenges, and practical solutions to enable new applications in sectors that benefit most from the integration of satellite and 5G networks.
Phase 2 of the project includes new over-the-air trials in logistics, media production, video surveillance, and livestock sectors.
