Project co-financed by ESA/ASI, for the study and the implementation of live satellite transmissions of sport events using Ka band and IP encoding.
For the Pilot project, we broadcasted all Serie C (third division) football matches for the league 2015/2016, equipping more than 50 stadiums with satellite antennas, as shown in figure. A typical installation is shown in the figure.
During the project, innovative techniques of both physical and network layer and encoding have been studied and adopted, leveraging on full IP architectures.
